Small Gameplay Update
This will just be a very short post regarding a gameplay element that we had gotten feedback on in playtests from the past. Originally, the player would be able to access a map after visiting the map board outside of the cabins, but there wasn't anything that really pointed or guided the player in that direction. Essentially, getting a map was very unintuitive and some players ended up not being able to use a map whatsoever as they would have never collected one. To alleviate this issue, we decided that we'd create a collectible map and place it next to the note in the cabin in which the player starts. This collectible map functions very much like the collectible notes in which the players will just need to move and enter a Trigger Volume. Afterwards, the mesh renderer on the map disappears to give the sense of collection, and the players can now open up the map with 'M'. Players should now have easy access to a map of the campgrounds and use it to navigate to and from locations.
