Misc. Elements & Polish
A few more details were added to the game to make it feel more complete. A menu page now greets the player before they start the game, it contains a "controls" section where the player can learn about movement and other features before jumping into the game.
Fences are added around the map to 1) prevent the player from climbing the mountain from areas that's not the intended mountain trail, 2) block off the ravine and prevent the player from walking right in. It also discourages the players from walking into the forest where they might get lost. About 200 fences were hand-placed around the map and adjusted to match the curve of the terrain.
The layout of the level has been polished and turned into an in-game map. The art is more clean and refined, making it easier to read. Each significant location is labeled and reflects the map that we have built rather than ideas from the planning phase.
